A New Beginning for Wellness
Last year on Giving Tuesday, we came to you with a dream… a dream to give wellness a home. You linked arms with us and helped us take a bold step of faith towards that vision.
You Made a Difference
Because of your generosity, we raised $24,000, and every single dollar was a miracle of kindness and hope.
We’ve held on to every penny of that money, trusting that God would reveal the next step.
And now, a year later, the dream hasn’t faded… it’s grown stronger.
Wellness still needs a home.
Over the last year, we’ve been praying and asking God how we should move forward. And this is what He said:
“I can do more with less.”
So, this Giving Tuesday, our faith looks a little different. We’re not asking for $250 gifts.
We’re inviting you to give $88 - a number that carries deep meaning.
Why $88?
Because in the Bible, the number 8 represents
a new beginning:
When God started over with Noah, 8 people were saved on the ark. Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives , eight in total, survived the flood and became the start of a new humanity after judgment.
Jesus rose on the 8th day. In Matthew 28:1 it says: “After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week…” Christ’s resurrection is the ultimate new beginning
David, who became king and the ancestor of Jesus, was the 8th son of Jesse. When David became king, it launched a new season for Israel.
The Feast of Tabernacles lasted 8 days. The 8th day symbolized completion followed by renewal - the joy of God dwelling with His people.
The Temple Was Dedicated in an 8 Day Ceremony. The eighth day marked the celebration of God’s presence and a fresh spiritual beginning for the nation
Everywhere in the Bible, when God was doing something new, 8 was there.
And that’s what we believe He’s doing now: something new.
“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”
Habakkuk 2:2
This vision for a wellness center is that “plain writing.” We’re believing for a new beginning - for the people who will one day find healing there, and for every giver who sows into the dream.
So here’s our bold step of faith for 2025:
If 1,000 people say “yes” and give $88 - we’ll raise $88,000. This is a massive step toward securing land and finally giving wellness a home.
Do I believe we’re going to build it? Yes.
Do I believe it will become a refuge for the broken, weary, and those longing for hope? Yes.
Do I believe your gift - whether $8, $88, or $800 - will plant a seed in that vision? Absolutely.
And because your own wellness matters to us too, anyone who gives $8 or more will receive a special digital devotional to encourage and guide you in your personal healing journey.
Friends, we can’t do this without you.
We’ve seen God’s hand before and we believe He’s not finished yet.
